Corrections:
It is now possible to select Normal, Invert and Use Front Panel modes from the printer driver using ‘Document Defaults.../Paper Source’.
24K and 24K memory overlay printer drivers may have only allowed 13 inches of print width instead of 13.5 inches. All fixed head printers, 24K and 30K allow 13.5” of print width.
Eject delay for shuttling head printers now functions correctly.
Additions:
With this release the 22K, 26K and 30K printer drivers and memory overlay printer drivers are released. The 24K and 30K printer drivers are separate printer drivers.

Corrections:
The previous version of the 24K and 24K memory overlay printer driver for Windows NT 4.0 displayed page sizes not appropriate to the 24K printer. Only two page sizes are supported on the 24K printer driver, #10 and 3in x 13.5in. All other page sizes are not supported in the 24K. To move the image vertically on the page one must move the print heads.

This is the ninth production release of the 3K, 5K, 5K-L, 7K, 9K-L, 9K-LC, 11K, 13K, 24K and 24K-P Windows NT 4.0 Printer Driver. The 9K-L printer driver may be used with 11K and 13K printers. The 9K-LC printer driver may be used with 11K-C printers. The 24K and 24K memory overlay printer drivers are for use with the 24K and 24K-P printers. The 3K/5K/7K/5K-L printer driver may be used with the 3K, 5K, 7K, 5K-L printers.
Corrections
The 24K and 24K overlay printer drivers would not properly print when data exceeded about 10” or 24cm in width. This problem has been corrected. Data may now be printed to the full width of the 24K which is 13.5”.

This is the eighth production release of the 3K, 5K, 5K-L, 7K, 9K-L, 9K-LC, 11K, 13K, 24K and 24K-P Windows NT 4.0 Printer Driver. The 9K-L printer driver may be used with 11K and 13K printers. The 9K-LC printer driver may be used with 11K-C printers. The 24K and 24K memory overlay printer drivers are for use with the 24K and 24K-P printers. The 3K/5K/7K/5K-L printer driver may be used with the 3K, 5K, 7K, 5K-L printers.
Updates:
The 3K/5K/5K-L Printer Driver would not print text larger than 12 point. This problem was only in the 3.96 version of the printer driver and has been corrected in this version.
When rotated text is defined along with ‘upright’ text much less data is sent to printer. The user may set the ‘Print Text as Graphics’ off, found on the ‘Document Defaults’ page under the ‘Advanced’ tab at the ‘Document Options’ item.
Printers W680/W660/W790 have been removed from the list of printer drivers. These printers are now on a new printer driver from Pitney Bowes.
The default installation option for print quality for the 24K and 24K memory overlay printer driver is now ‘Use Front Panel’. The previous default value was ‘Executive’. The user may still change the default once the driver is installed, only the initial installation default has been changed.
The values for the amount of available memory shown for some printers was confusing in version 3.96. There is now a consistent list of memory available for each printer.
Automatic delivery point barcoding did not work for the first few envelopes or no envelopes at all.

Restrictions: This version will not print text larger than 12 point on the 3K/5K/7K/5K-L printer driver. Use the 9K-L/11K/13K printer driver instead or upgrade to version 3.97.

Corrections: The maximum width of the 24K and 24K overlay has been changed to 13” from 13.5”. The 24K and 24K overlay drivers should only allow a maximum of 13” of print width, not 13.5”.

Updates: There is now one printer driver for the 3K, 5K, 7K and 5K-L printers. In previous versions there wre two printer drivers, one for 3K/5K and one for 7K/5K-L. No new features have been added The 3K/5K/7K/5K-L printer driver prints in all font sizes. Previous versions may only have printed in sizes upto 12 point..
Note: There has been a reported problem uninstalling and reinstalling the ‘default’ printer driver under Windows NT 4.0 Service Pack 4. This problem results in the printer driver files not being updated. Even though the printer update was executed, the printer driver files were not replaced. This problem does not occur with Service Pack 3 installations.

Updates: Paper Size 9.4x15 Full Size has been added to the list of BOS paper sizes. This paper size should be used with oversized paper when printed in ‘reverser portrait’ mode. B4 and C4 Portrait sizes were corrected.
